I titled my blog Writing Thru Media: A Fresh Aspect on English. I came up with this title because after the first week of class that is what I expected the course to be. Ultimately, that is exactly what the class was- a modern, updated English class. Our weekly blog assignments allowed me explore and reflect on multiple aspects of media including photography, films, documentaries, music, social networking, and iconic images. I found blogging somewhat enjoyable; it was nice being able to be creative and do things like integrate photos into my writing. As the semester progressed the assignments became more challenging, asking us to do our own research or manipulate our own photos. As they got more difficult though, I found the blogs more interesting, because it required more work and more creativity.
